We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth enjoyed a purple patch a while back and many felt as if they were destined to push on to bigger and better things. In recent weeks, though, they’ve fallen back a bit, but they’re still far clear of the relegation picture. In the months ahead, it'll be interesting to see how they approach things given their position in the league, with a potentially massive summer window ahead.
Following wins over Everton and Crystal Palace, Bournemouth lost to Luton and Aston Villa with a 2-2 draw against Manchester United sandwiched in between. Then, in their latest outing, they were incredibly fortunate to walk away from Molineux with a 1-0 win over Wolves.
Brighton Form GuideFor Brighton & Hove Albion, any hope of silverware this season has come and gone - but that doesn’t mean their season is over. The fight is on to keep European football coming in on the south coast and even though this season has been trickier than the last, they still have the quality necessary to make some real waves between now and the end of May.
Since being knocked out of the Europa League by Roma, Brighton have been on a pretty questionable run of form in the league. They only managed a point in draws with Brentford and Burnley to run alongside defeats to Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Match PredictionBrighton’s European hopes are dwindling and Bournemouth know that they’re safe in the top flight for another year. While we’d like to think both will want to put on a show, it feels like they’re probably going to be on the beach - which is why we’re going to shoot for a draw.
